COVID-19 in Bedford Borough – 14 May 2021

With COVID-19 rates rapidly rising in Bedford Borough, and a new highly infectious variant circulating, PLEASE REMAIN CAUTIOUS. Remember: Hands, Face, Space. Meeting friends or family outside is safer than indoors.

If you have been told to self-isolate it is important that you do so to protect yourself and others.

If you have COVID-19 symptoms you must stay at home and only leave to get tested.

Everyone living or working in the Borough can get free twice weekly rapid testing. People without symptoms can drop in to the rapid test centre at the Faraday Community Centre, off Elstow Road, Bedford.

Anyone over 38 can book their vaccine appointments online through the national booking system: or phone 119.
