Bedford Borough has a surplus of vaccines, so please get yours. Anyone over 18 can get one. Take your NHS number with you:
- Call 01234 718077 to book
- Or over 18s can walk in to The Gurdwara on Saturday 12th June from 1pm-7pm for the Pfizer Biontech vaccine
- Kings House is open 8am – 8pm daily.
PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD ON VACCINES – THE BOROUGH HAS A SURPLUS OF VACCINE!
Proactive work has made the case numbers plateau – (mobile testing, collect and drop off, and door to door drop offs).
There is now a downward trend in numbers in Queen’s Park, Kingsbrook and Cauldwell.
There were no deaths in the Borough due to covid in the last week. There were 2 the week before.
Cases in the over 60s and the over 40s are very low, which shows the vaccine gives good protection, especially after 2 doses.
Cases in secondary schools have fallen sharply due to the wearing of face masks, and twice weekly lateral flow testing.
Most cases are now in the younger adult groups – SO PLEASE GET A VACCINE!
Even though younger people are being hospitalised, their stays are shorter and fewer need Intensive Care.
There were still 824 cases in the week to 4th June, so it’s still very prevalent.
